The Bucket List

Their Eyes Were Watching God By Zora Neale Hurston
the movie showed a young girl in the quest to finding herself. Similar to the awakening the main character was older before she found who she was. I want to read this book because of the changes and things left out of the movie

Go Tell It on the Mountain  By James Baldwin
this book is a semi autobiography of his life. It examines the roles of christian church in african american community This book would be a really intersting book to read from what i've read about it.

The Autobiography of Malcolm X By Malcomn X and Alex Haley
this book takes a look into the life of malcomn x and the start of his invovlement with the nation of islam.Alex haley was able to even include his assanation by his once friends.

Push By Sapphire
this was adapted into the film precious. it showed the tragic life of a girl. This book is said to be way more graphic than the movie. Kind of scary but worth a read.

Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison
This is a stunning tale of self-discovery that follows the lives of a black family living in Michigan.
The majority of the narrative revolves around Milkman, the first black child born at Mercy Hospital, and the son of a prominant and wealthy businessman. after reading reviews i believe this would be good book to read about. Toni Morrison is very poetic so t might be easier to read.

A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J Gaines
The reader is given a unique outlook on the status of African Americans in the South, after World War II and before the Civil Rights Movement. Indeed, we see a Jim Crow South through the eyes of a formally educated African American teacher who often feels helpless and alienated from his own country.

Paradise By Toni Morrison
The novel tells the story of the tension between the men of Ruby, Oklahoma and a group of women who lived in a former covent seventeen miles away. I think its different kind of book because their in a convent but I think it stille would be good

The Bluest Eye by toni morrison
The story is about a year in the life of a young black girl, named Pecola, who develops an inferiority complex due to her eye and skin appearance in Lorain, Ohio, against the backdrop of americas Midwest as well as in the years following the Great Depression

An Analysis of Liberals aren’t funny, they’re a riot by: Ann Coulter

Coulter displays a tone of a rather critical and outrage person.  Through her use of tone she attacks and provokes liberals with a bias message of disguise of the liberals. Coulter starts the column off by acknowledging violence erupting in the world and also “researching” about mobs. “Thanks, you dirty animals. I knew you wouldn’t let me down”. Coulter uses a subliminal message to attack liberals. Without going in depth into the column Coulter already utilizes her critical nature to reel in the readers.  “And as long as there liberals, there will be people stoking the mob”. Coulter’s provocative opinion distributes a clear look for what the essay will surround. Coulter asked “Why were blacks and Hispanics gang members looting after the Rodney King verdict?” She also proceeds to use evidence from gang member who said “they didn’t know or care about Rodney King’s verdict”. Coulter describes that in a sense there was no reasoning behind the rioting. Coulter expresses her opinion again about liberals by saying “Liberals love mobs because rioting and anarchy is their path to power.” Coulter throughout the column blames liberals for the rioting. Ann Coulter reveals a hateful and obnoxious tone toward liberals because in her opinion rioting is liberal’s bread and butter towards power. The title of the column is “Liberals aren’t funny, they’re a Riot” brings forth the theme of the column which is liberals roles in rioting.
